THE GREAT ESCAPE: 42 BANDS TO JOIN 2012 LINEUP 
I have been keeping a close eye on the artists playing at this year’s Great Escape and it looks like 2012 is going to have an unbeatable line up with over 42 new acts recently announcing their appearance at this year’s festival, playing across 30 local Brighton venues. 
So who’s been added to this year’s line up? Such legendary acts that are going to make 2012 one of the best year’s Great Escape has seen is house pioneer DJ LEO ZERO, disco-rockers WE HAVE BAND, electro artist NATHAN FAKE, groove-metal-er’s THE DEFILED, indie band TRIBES, soulful REN HARVIEU, witty WILLIS EARL BEAL, soul revivalists THE MILK, Australian POND, poetic CHRIS T-T, dub-reggae soloist HOLLIE COOK and hip-hop master DAN LE SAC. 
RED STRIPE LAGER will also be sponsoring this year’s street gigs. So anyone attending this year’s Great Escape be sure to be on the lookout for the Red Stripe van, travelling to each of the street gigs. You may ask what RED STRIPE LAGER are doing? They are sponsoring an interactive work of art, designed by the likes of British artist, Rose Stallard. We will also see the FORD again this year at Great Escape, filming sessions for BANDSINTRANSIT.COM, in which you can visit the site to see exclusive sessions from this year’s festival, as well as a host of other acts including the likes of: DRY THE RIVER, CITIZENS!, SPECTOR and MICHAEL KIWANUKA.
If you have ever been to The Great Escape you will know that the central hub is the place to be. You can pick up your wristbands, and also buy official Great Escape merchandise from all your favourite artists. There is also a bar serving Red Stripe Lager, Kenco 2 Go hot drinks as well as scrumptious Cadbury’s chocolate. As well as there being music (obviously). Bands will be playing here throughout the day, in which DOC MARTENS will also be providing a photo booth area for all festival goers. Not only this but there will a ‘Metahub’; a massive interactive screen installation, where everyone will be recorded throughout the festival.
